Symphony in White


Egrets sing sonatas in the movement of their wings. They pattern white sinusoidal curves across the blue lake in the evenings in Bangalore, transcribe semicircles in their landings. By the side of the water they stand statuesque, moving with a slowness akin to prayer, meditation. Their eyes hold yellow knowledge of sunrise and sunset.
